Dreamy and full of simple delights, we’re sharing all the small lake wedding ideas you could possibly want + plus more.

LUCY BY ALEXANDRA GRECCO

Alexandra Grecco is known for creating the best simple wedding dresses. Luxurious fabrics and delicate hand-embroidered appliqué are two of the signature details you will find when exploring Anna Bé Colorado's Alexandra Grecco collection.

Refreshing and rich in dimension, ‘Lucy’ by Alexandra Grecco is the perfect example of this bridal designer’s effortless romance. Frannie fell in love with this fit and flare crepe wedding dress and its distinct layered bodice. With a deep v-neckline and dramatic train, Lucy wedding dress is striking. Illusion side panels create an elegant low open back design. The gown's luxe layered ruffle wedding dress sleeves provide visual interest as well as movement.

CLASSIC BRIDAL ACCESSORIES

Not only was this simple modern wedding dress stunning, but so were the timeless bridal accessories. The perfect mix of bold and refined, Frannie had fun pairing iconic wedding accessories with her fashion-forward wedding dress.

ballet tulle veil

A simple tulle wedding veil is about as classic as they come. Frannie donned Sara Gabriel’s 'Donna Veil’ during the first portion of her wedding day. With a simple cut edge and no embroidery, this long lightweight tulle veil was minimal and served her modern wedding look well.

If you’re ever wondering how to wear a cathedral veil with hair down, Frannie’s middle part Hollywood waves bridal hairstyle looked spectacular with this elegant cathedral-length veil.

bridal headband

After their ceremony, Frannie replaced her pale ivory cathedral veil with a white bridal headband. While we have a range of floral wedding headbands and bridal headband crowns, this thick bridal headband was the perfect fit for her timeless wedding style.

Chic and slightly textured, Frannie’s chunky bridal headband created a cool ceremony to reception change. Matching her bridal mules and other contemporary wedding accessories, it was so fun to watch Frannie’s wedding look evolve throughout the day.

ROMANTIC WEDDING VOWS

Before beginning their outdoor wedding ceremony, Frannie and Peter exchanged vows privately. Though the wind was blowing heavily on the porch where they met, it provided beautiful veil pics.

Sharing a final kiss before departing to their Lake Superior shoreline wedding ceremony, the couple hugged each other with hand-written veils in hand.

BEACH WEDDING CEREMONY

Glensheen Mansion's pebble beach was the spot where Frannie and Peter decided to promise forever. With views of a nearby boathouse and pier, this Minnesota lakeside wedding venue was the perfect mix of refined and rustic. The privacy of the beach was perfect and their acrylic wedding decor elevated this already elegant space.

Acrylic pedestals were perched on either side of their outdoor beach altar. Filled with greenery and pink flowers, this simple ceremony decor matched Frannie’s bouquet as well as her bridesmaids.

OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT WEDDING

After their lakefront wedding, guests enjoyed a backyard wedding cocktail hour and private patio reception dinner before making their way to Glensheen’s gorgeous lakeside lawn and Shark Shack space.

shark on the lake

With ample outdoor lighting and an array of lawn chairs, Shark on the Lake was the perfect spot for guests to grab a sweet treat and get cozy.

Shark on the Lake’s small outdoor shed served as a canteen during this late-night wedding activity. This wedding snack bar had personalized bags of popcorn and a colorful movie theater candy assortment.

s’mores wedding favors

In addition to the popcorn and candy, guests were able to grab individual s'mores packages. These unique edible wedding favors were a special touch to their movie-themed wedding reception.

As everyone settled into their seats, When Harry Met Sally… was projected onto an outdoor movie screen. Curling up to this rom-com on the lawn, Frannie and Peter’s luxurious wedding day came to a laid-back close.
